‘Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the store
Not one employee was stirring, the sales were no more;
The security tags were placed on the merchandise with care,
In hopes that thieves would stay away from there;
All the quad wraps had been carefully applied to designer wear
While the bottle collars were an answer to a long-time prayer
Throughout the holiday season, theft slowed down
It was almost like every thief had left town
Loss prevention professionals were nestled all snug in their beds;
While visions of reduced shrinkage danced in their heads;
And the owner in his home, with a dog in his lap,
Had just settled his brain for a long evening’s nap,
When out on the store floor, there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from my office to see what was the matter.
Towards the electronics, I flew like a flash,
Went straight to the high-valued items with a brash
Heaving a sigh of relief while slowing my pace
All the cable locks were safely in place
Then suddenly I saw a red figure near the tripods
It was a large, rounded man holding Apple AirPods
He asked if the sale ended or was it too late to buy
But he had to stop when he saw the great deal in the sky
I sold him the AirPods and removed the lock
He was gone so quick, leaving me in shock
It took a moment for everything to click
Then I knew he must have been St. Nick.
I ran outside the store for a quick glance.
Not wanting to miss this once-in-a-lifetime chance.
“Now, Dasher! Now, Dancer! Now Prancer and Vixen!
On, Comet! On, Cupid! On, Donner and Blitzen!
I could hardly believe that even on Christmas Eve
Not one single thief made it past me
As I stood there, arms crossed with my astonished grin
I felt thankful for Product Protection Solutions.
Then I heard St. Nick exclaim, as he drove out of sight—
“Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good night!”
